The Stephens County Anti-Drug Coalition is a Christian, non-profit organization. The four key objectives of the coalition are: Education,
Prevention, Treatment and Enforcement. One of the most important objectives is education. Drug Education must be taught at all academic
levels and continued education must be communicated to the adult public.
As our society and world change, there are significant changes
in the number of substance abuse problems. Substance abuse is not unique to one ethnic, social or age group. Observations indicate
this will not be solved by law enforcement actions alone, but will take the active support and resources of all segments of our communities.
Through
a combined effort with Stephens, Franklin, Habersham and other interested counties and individuals, we can make a difference
Our Mission
"To prevent and reduce substance abuse by developing communtiy based outreach programs in the areas of education, prevention,
enforcement and treatment."
